7:39a - The Weekend is Gone
Second week submission sent! Part of me is screaming nooooo, lots more work at the sentence level, but it's also good to have it out there.
I went into Taos yesterday with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) kelly_yoyo and baddolly for food and shopping and a chance to not think about the submission for a while. Luckily I kept the fact that my suitcase was slightly -over- the weight limit on the way here in mind and only bought a small Christmas present for my mother and a small but cool stone called a shiva linga, which is a stone gathered in a special yearly ceremony from the Namada River. Having one, the brochure says, "is akin to touching the sacredness of the Male/Female energy" and while I don't know exactly how that would feel, the stone itself has a pleasing tactileness. The store was full of awfully cool fossils, including cave bear jaws and fossilized horses' teeth. If I worked there, I'd end up with a paycheck in the negative on a pretty regular basis, I fear.
