Two people have asked me so far if I've lost weight. While I think a lot of it is simply a conscious effort to avoid wearing big, baggy, "I hate my body" clothing, it's still encouraging.

What I'm doing:
Making sure I eat breakfast and lunch
Not eating when I'm bored
trimming calories where I can, like non-fat lattes instead of whole milk
getting more exercise

The goal is 40 pounds in 6 months, which my doctor didn't seem to think was unrealistic. I'd be so happy to lost that much.
