Boring Personal Details and a Couple of Food Notes

Today was a lot of Christmas shopping, and the first brief foray into Christmas cooking: green tea loaf cakes and sweet spiced nuts. Plus I'd bought a pasta maker during a brief spell of insanity (it was really cheap, $17) so we had black peppercorn pasta tossed with a Trader Joe's roasted red pepper sauce, and it was all very lovely. Fresh pasta is amazing, which I'd never known.
