I say good for Lori Phanachone and I don't think she should have been suspended.

Diebold admits that their machines do not record deletions of ballots, including ones done in mass:
An election system's audit logs are meant to record all activity during the system's actual counting of ballots, so that later examiners may determine, with certainty, whether any fraudulent or mistaken activity had occurred during the count. Diebold's software fails to do that...
As a former network security professional, I tell you that it's very very hard to chalk that up to oversight.

American Express lowered someone's credit limit because they shopped at WalMart and had a mortgage through Countrywide. While I don't think people should be shopping at WalMart because of the many abuses of their workers documented over the years (and I do acknowledge that economics force some of us to reluctantly do so), I think this is a pretty good example of the increasing consequences of your data trail.
